At the bottom of the hill turn left and you will walk into the small village of isla plana. famous for its church as well as good resturants and it ancient marrana baths. the beach to the right of the church at la isla is sandy and the water warm. During the summer months there is a beach bar and the community center is open for tapas and tea-coffee and cerveza[beer]

At the bottom of the hill from my villa is this stretch of beach. throught the summer months from april to october

there is a loverly beach bar open called the funky jellyfish. manuel the owner always welcomes you with a smile.

with a small menu of spainish and english foods and a well stocked bar you can while away the afternoon or evening with the sea almost lapping at your feet.

LA AZOHIA

a short walk along the coastal path from ISLA PLANA you arrive in LA AZOHIA, which makes up the far end of the bay. with its beach bars and resturants there is planty to keep you entertained. pearch right at the end of the bay with breath taking views is a resturant called the ANTIPODES. With it views accross the bay to the PORT OF MAZARRON it a must place for a slow lunch or dinner.

Antipodas Tavern

on the far edge of the bay in la azhohia is a gret place to eat. either during the day with views across the bay or out to sea or at night with the lights across the bay and over to the lighthouse at the port. there is a daily fish menu along with an a la cart menu and a childrens menu. 

The oasis cafe right at the end of bolneuevo opposite the beach. a great place to drink coffe and eat tapas and while away a few hours.

they have nightly events throughout the year.

The port of mazarron is a modern liverly place with plenty of places to eat and drink and relax by day and by night. there is always something open in the winter months but come summer the choice is endless and alfresco dinning the name of the game. All this is centered round the marina with its boats and small fishing fleet. There is always something happening and a quick check of the local turist information will keep you updated with any fiestas or parades going on.

EL FARO

bar and returant up on the hill by the light house in the port of mazarron. what a gem only opens betweek easter and september but has a pool and terraced setting with great views of the marina aqnd across the bay. at night green lights light up the trees and makes this a magical place to chil with a beer and to meet up.
